Staying On My Rock

A poem on domestic abuse, injustice, faith, and forgiveness

You can beat me
You can bruise me
But you will never break me
You try to steal me, kill me, and destroy me

But all of that will come around
It will bite you back
Haunt you here and now
I’m staying on my rock, staying on my rock
